Kinetic Fighting–Integrated Combat Instructors’ Course
Further your KEF–IC instructor qualifications alongside instructors of the Australian Army Combatives Program, and network with the KEF team at the KEF–IC cocktail dinner!
Dates: 31 July–1 August 2021
The 2021 Mid-year Kinetic Fighting–Integrated Combat Instructors’ Course enables current KEF–IC instructors to upskill to teach the Delta and Echo courses. The weekend also finishes with the newest KEF–IC course, Home Defence & Intruder Response (‘Hotel’ module), which is included with any fully paid course ticket or can be booked separately via Moshtix.*
Every course booking also includes a seat at the KEF Cocktail Dinner on the Saturday night, with fine food, drinks and entertainment (priced at $150 for those without a fully paid course ticket, and for partners).
Basic, Army-style accommodation at the KEF HQ is also included, but not compulsory.
At the High Fidelity Training Centre, Brisbane (the home of Kinetic Fighting, inside Screen Queensland Studios), you will take a deep dive into the tactics and techniques of the KEF–IC Weapon Response Framework (Delta) and Combative Grappling (Echo) modules. You’ll refine your skills and learn to teach the material hands-on, while being mentored by KEF’s highly experienced Combatives Master Trainers (CMTs) and Army Combatives Program (ACP) instructors. As part of the learning and qualification process, your lesson delivery will be evaluated by both the CMTs and fellow trainees, including currently licensed KEF–IC Instructors.
Already qualified instructors who attend will be tested (and upgraded upon passing) to teach the next module in the syllabus above their current teaching qualification.
Heading up the coaching will be Paul Cale — KEF–IC/ACP creator, Australian Defence Force Martial Arts Association (ADFMAA) Head Coach and former Commando Sergeant. He will be joined by ADFMAA Vice President and current Sergeant Major of the Combatives Centre, WO2 Aaron Johnston, and KEF–IC/ACP Combatives Master Trainer Geordie Lavers-McBain.
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION:
If you are a currently licensed KEF–IC instructor and have qualified in the Alpha, Bravo and Charlie Instructor modules, you will be able to complete the Delta and Echo Instructor modules and undergo testing for qualification in these if ready.
This skill-enhancement and qualification course at ACP/KEF–IC headquarters also offers an opportunity to network with fellow instructors, and to partake in unique aspects of Australian military culture.
Secure your place now with an immediate booking, or pay a 50% deposit and the balance by 23 July.
* KEF–IC instructors completing the course under a current license (i.e. without purchasing a ticket) will need to purchase a separate ticket for the ‘Hotel’ module.
** Note: Teaching can only begin after submission of a completed KEF–IC instructor license agreement for 2021 and supply of a current public-liability insurance certificate.
